There are some picture books for young children that become classics within just a few years of publication (at least in my book they do!). One of those series is Little Blue Truck and Little Blue Truck Leads the Way. The highly-rated books not only rhyme and make it fun for children to read, but they both teach excellent lessons that all ages can understand.
Little Blue Truck, published in 2008, is the original book in the series and talks about how friends can be a huge help in life, not everything is about rushing to get a job done. Little Blue Truck Leads the Way, published in 2009, was actually the first book I was introduced to and I loved its message of taking turns and slowing down. If you haven’t tried these out, please do! You will not regret it one bit. And your children will love them. (We now own both as part of our family collection!)
